Here is my third try at a video today this morning. sigh. It’s hard to wake up and think of something interesting to sign. :-)
OK. Last night Jodi and I watched Through Deaf Eyes again in class. We finished the movie. I wrote a paper and posted (sent) it on my website. Read it, I hope you like the paper. It called “Through Deaf Eyes: A Reaction In Three Acts” [title]. Please read it, and tell me what you think.

Good morning! Last night, Jodi and I watched Law and Order: Criminal Intent. It was a good show I think - it had a lot of Deaf actors. I had two problems with the plot. First, it showed, like, that deaf people hear nothing - silent. I think that’s not really true.
The second problem - the plot was not really that great - the writing was not great. I think the show’s producers wanted to show a lot of different opinions about deaf culture, cochlear implants, etc., and then there was not a lot of time left for good plot development. :-)

Hi! My name is Steve Ivy. I’m a student of ASL. Today I want to start a vlog about studying sign language, about what we’re learning, watching, seeing, talking about, etc.
Tonight in class we watched “Through Deaf Eyes”. It’s a movie, well, a documentary, from PBS about the history of Deaf Culture. Tonight we watched half the movie, it was really interesting! I’m excited to see the second half of the movie on… Wednesday.
