PDF Browser Plugin for OS X

Schubert IT has the coolest plugin - an inline PDF viewer for OS X browsers. I’ve tested it with Safari and OmniWeb 5. Super nice.

RSS and Forms

Sunday, February 22nd, 2004

I had an idea tonight, inspired by a post on Bill Bumgarner’s site. Actually, it was in reading Bill’s RSS feed in NetNewsWire.

In this post, Bill has a form that searches a drink database. The form renders in NetNewsWire (of course) and can be submitted and used.

So… it occured to me that an RSS feed could be used as a source for a company’s internal forms. Any new form could be added to the feed, and if you changed the modified date when you serve it, then the updated list of forms would always be available in your newsreader.

Maybe not any more useful than a simple page of links, but interesting nevertheless.

Wait Wait!

Thursday, February 19th, 2004

Jodi and I went with my new boss David and his wife Kristy to see the live taping of NPR’s Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel and Spa. We had a lot of fun, even if it was (relatively) cold out. Adam Felber, comedian and blogger, won the quiz, bad jokes were made, and good times were had by all.
