Whew. Well, my interview skills are rusty. Thanks for all the well-wishes from friends and family.
I think that I did ok, but my nerves left me dry-mouthed and talking faster than I would have liked. Nothing to do about it now I guess. I liked the manager and team members I interviewed with, and I’m hoping for a call-back for the next phase - the candidates for the designer position will have to produce and defend a redesigned page from the company’s site. I don’t anticipate too many problems there, at least not until I’m back in front of the team defending my work. smile
In about an hour I’m going to my first face-to-face job interview in 14 months. I’m nervous.
I’m also qualified for, and interested in, the position. I firmly believe that I can help this company take a good product and turn it into a great one.
If I am miraculously offered, and take, the position, I’ll be arriving well after all the dot-com party guests have gone home. But I’m still excited.
I really want this position. Maybe that’s why I’m terrified.
I’ve been trying to get ssh-agent running on my os x box so that I can work on a remote linux box without having to type my password everytime, and I’m having a crap time getting it to work, and I have no idea why.
If you’re an ssh guru, please look over this transcript and tell me if you see what the trouble might be?
Nate is building a robot out of LEGO and custom-built electronics, and it is amazing. It’s radio controlled right now and has a radio transmitting video camera. Check out this video of it in action (12.8 mb Quicktime). Go LEGOMAN!
