Eclipse 2.0 released, wherefore Mac OS X?

Saturday, June 29th, 2002

Eclipse 2.0 has been released. Eclipse is a Meta-IDE, an integrated development environment for programmers that can be configured to work with most any language/runtime. You can download 2.0 here, but I’m wondering what would need to be done to get a copy running on Mac OS X. There are Win32 and native X Windows versions… but it seems there’s no (at elast) Pure Java version.

Bowling

Saturday, June 29th, 2002

Jodi and I went bowling last night with a bunch of friends from church. Neither of us had been bowling since junior high, so we were abit rusty. I think my three games were 84, 98, and 102. Ouch. But - we had a blast! Hanging out with friends, having a great time, it was all a Friday night should be. I managed a couple strikes, completely by luck I’m sure! Jodi got one or two as well, and we both had (more than) our fair share of gutterballs! Thank goodness we were with friends! -)

Crazy Unicycle Guy

Saturday, June 29th, 2002

We went hiking at South Mountain last weekend, and we saw this guy on his mountain-bike-unicycle. He rides the trails over South Mountain just like the other (seemingly thousands) of cyclists. Nuts. Just plain nuts. I can’t imagine the strength or balance required for this.

I finally set up my wishlist at Amazon. If you’d like to make me real happy, pick something from that list! :)

Did I mention tomorrow (June 29) is my birthday? ;)

CSS-based theme pervades Redmonk.Net

Friday, June 28th, 2002

I finally got around to switching the rest of this site over to the CSS-based them I use on the homepage (blog). I believe it loads a bit faster now, too. (Check one more thing off my redmonk TODO list…)
