Fortune: Ban Powerpoint Now!
I’ve lived some of these. Beware.
[via "Slashdot"] What do you get when CBS engineers, Carnegie-Mellon professors, and a bunch of Mitsubishi robotics geeks get together?
A whole ‘nother Superbowl, baby.
USAToday reports on CBS’s “EyeVision” system, which uses 33 cameras mounted on robotic arms to capture Matrix-style 270-degree live video footage of the Superbowl action. I doubt we’ll actually see any refs on the field in 3 years.
This NYTimes article describes Steve Job’s recent revelation concerning The Digital Lifestyle, and some of his inspirations.
If there were no Mac to love, I would still agree that the Steve has hit it on the head with this idea.
Since things have been slow at work, I’ve continued on development of the “RSSPuller”. It now reads RSS 0.91, 0.92, 0.92d2, and RDF 0.9 Simple. The code is also much better factored now, resulting in less debugging time. Thanks to the iDO Script scheduler, it’s running (4 times successfully now!) every 30 minutes on my work machine.
In the absolute dirth of web resources for scripting Aportis Technologies’ BrainForest, I’ve started brainforest-scripting, a new mailing list for people interested in using AppleScript (or other OSA-compatible language) and Brainforest.
I’m doing this because Aportis provides no customer support for scripting BrainForest.
