SOAP

As seen on “Scripting News”:
“SOAP implodes the kingdome”
Now that’s a powerful protocol!

Narf!:

New bump, Cont’d: A full-size mock-up. Nice.

Distributed Computing With SOAP: DevX on the existing protocols and how SOAP solves some problems. Another first- the first article on SOAP to miss the fact that “Dave Winer” from “UserLand” initiated the effort, and helped and develop the spec.

New Bump: Robert goes for the “Death Star” look, and joins the ranks of weblogs featuring a prominent mugshot. Looks good Robert!

I admit I’d put up a mugshot too, if I had a good one to show the world.

Where The Red Fern Grows: unlike most of Americans my age, I didn’t read this book in school. I’m reading it now at my wife’s prompting and I can see why this young person gives it high marks. Sometimes “kids” books are the best.

On modrewrite: “Despite the tons of examples and docs, modrewrite is voodoo. Damned cool voodoo, but still voodoo.” I don’t use mod_rewrite, but the quote reminded me of some of the perl hacking I did a few years ago.

Man, it’s been an eon since I updated. How pathetic. Gimme a few, and we’ll see what I can whip up.
