Blah Blah Blah

2 minutes until Monday…

I’m sure you’re wondering “What the Heck did he do to his template?!?!”

I’m not crazy, I’ve had this template stuck in a folder that came with me from Germany two years ago. It’s a design style I’ve wanted to try for a while, sort of Frank Lloyd Wright meets late-90’s U2.

So far I like the redesign, but it remains to be seen if it will stay. If you have vehement opinions on the subject, make yourself heard.

Working…

I’m working today, first on a “Frontier”/”Manila” website, then later on my Honda Accord, which is currently doorless. As soon as I’ve got the thing in inspectable form, I’m selling it. We’re in a house in need of renovation, and I’m feeling the urge to get a pickup, a real Renovation Machine. Mmmmm.

Survey says:

Faced with yesterday’s survey, Jim Roepcke uses his lifeline- the 50/50. I, of course, obliged.

Quasi-related: I love to hate that show.

XML, Zope, and network services

Jon Udell has a great piece from O’Reilly’s Python Conference on Zope, and the role of XML in creating network services. Jon does a good job at expressing the vision behind things like XML-RPC, a vision I share wholeheartedly.

Speaking of Jon Udell, I think I want this book.
